VSUAA-GTAC (NC) Conducts its Final Chapter Meeting of 2020

VSUAA-Greater Triangle Area Chapter (NC) conducted its final ZOOM) chapter meeting of 2020 with a social that immediately followed it. The occasion was filled with purpose, reflection and fellowship. Prior to the agenda of the meeting GTAC (NC) presented Plaques of Appreciation to Lawrence & Perry, Barbeque for its partnership to raise funds for our scholarship fund and to fellow trojan, Rev. Michael Eley, Sr. in celebration of his recent pastoral installation. During the meeting the members, not only planned ahead for next year, but reflected on the great successes that we have had. The social was moderated by Percell Anderson and the activities include Christmas Card Exchange, Ugly Sweater Contest, Guess the Weight of the Aluminum Can Tabs, and Fellowship. During the card exchange segment,the chapter members first opened and read the respective Christmas Card, which they had received via the Christma Card Exchange, revealing the sender for the first time. Then, the Ugly Sweater Contest, which was highly enjoyed by all, Timothy James was unanimously declared the winner. The Guess the Weight of the Collected Aluminum Can Tabs, which was organized by Vivian Lewis, proved to be an intense competition in which Keonte’ Edmonds emerged as the winner with his guess of 9 lbs,6 ounces. The 10 lbs, 3 ounces of collected tabs will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Durham as  one of the chapter’s outreach projects. During the fellowship portion of the social, members enjoyed recounting,memories, telling and listening to some jokes and catching up happenings within respective members’ lives.
