GTAC(NC) Donates to Ronald McDonald House of Durham

On January 24, 2021, seven GTAC (NC) members presented 9.3 pounds of aluminum can tabs that had been collected by chapter members to Edith Rosenblatt, Coordinator of Special Events at Duke University Medical Center, who helped found the Ronald McDonald House of Durham and is a past Trustee and Board Member of the facility. The tabs, along with other donated tabs from other organizations and individuals are sold to benefit the services that the house provides for patients and their families. GTAC (NC) member Vivian Lewis, was the coordinator for the chapter’s aluminum can tab drive and Sybil Ingram- Henson is the chapter’s Outreach Chairperson.

Also, Ms. Jeanette Hill, who is the mother of GTAC (NC) member Cicily Marsh, aunt of GTAC (NC) member Sherman Faison, and is a loyal supporter of VSU and VSUAA-GTAC (NC), made beaded bracelets for patients and their guests.
