Virginia State University Alumni Association- Greater Triangle Area Chapter (NC) Participates in Food Drive

On Saturday, March 20, 2021, the Virginia State University Alumni Association- Greater Triangle Area Chapter (NC) delivered the results of its Non- Perishable Food Drive (3,617 pounds), which started on MLK Day and concluded on March 12, 2021, to Loaves and Fishes Ministries of Warren County, NC. Loaves and Fishes will use the donated items to serve the citizens in need within its community. Shown in the picture are various members of GTAC (NC) and representatives of Loaves and Fishes after all items were unloaded.

As the Non- Perishable Food Drive came to a close, GTAC (NC) Event Coordinator Cicily Marsh and GTAC (NC) President Dennis M. Snead went on their fifth and final shopping spree to purchase food items from the monetary donations that were given my chapter members and community supporters.
GTAC members gathered at GTAC (NC) President Dennis M. Snead’s home to load the U-Haul truck with all the donated food items that had been collected during its 3-month food drive. Those GTAC (NC) members who participated in loading the 3,617 pounds of food were as follows: Edward Busch, Timothy James, Cicily Marsh, Sybil Ingram – Henson, Mikela Jackson, Dennis M. Snead. Also, Mikela’s husband, Dexter Jackson was a valuable part of the loading crew.
GTAC members gathered at Loaves and Fishes Ministries of Warren County, NC to unload the U-Haul truck with all the donated food items that had been collected during its 3-month food drive. Those GTAC (NC) members who participated in unloading the 3,617 pounds of food were as follows: Orlando Conner, Timothy James, Cicily Marsh, Sybil Ingram – Henson, Mikela Jackson, Rhonda Holley- Shanks, Dennis M. Snead. Also, Mikela’s husband, Dexter Jackson and fellow Trojan, Dashia Shanks participated in the unloading of food items.
