On Friday, June 25, 2021, GTAC (NC) Members Zatella Conner and Anita Jackson traveled to Edgecombe Community College, Rocky Mount, NC to meet up with and support fellow Trojan alumnae Roberta Pope- Matthews in the viewing of the movie “Black Walnuts”, a story about men and prostate cancer. VSU Alumnae Robertha Pope- Matthews and VSU Alumnus William “Bill” McGee are in the movie. Bill told his story as a prostate cancer survivor musician. He also played his horn in it as well as provided music for the soundtrack.
