On January 16, 2023, GTAC (NC) Member Kimiko Williams participated in The MLK Day of Service, which she helped organize. The event had 60 volunteers, distributed 160 meals to ACTS, and collected 1001 donations on the Creating Success Mobile Learning Lab, which were distributed to ACTS and Lifeline Outreach. The Day of Service was sponsored by Gateway CDC, Turning Point CDC, Aim High, Vance County Cooperative Extension, Franklin Vance Warren Opportunities, and Helping All People Excel.
